Leonard Stanley is one of the oldest ‘village’ Twinnings and next year will celebrate its 40th Anniversary. There will be various ‘events’ happening in 2010 to celebrate this achievement, and we hope to have many past and present members involved in this. Plus there will be a double visit. Dozule will visit here from 30th April to 3rd May and we will return there in October half term. We will be holding 2 fund raising events early next year. Banish the inter Blues with our Fun Quiz Evening on Friday, 22nd January and then very popular Dinner evening on Friday 26th March. More details to follow, so please watch this space ! The Twinning Association is one of the oldest in the country. It makes a valuable contribution to Anglo‑French relations and understanding of differing cultures, it also makes a valuable contribution to village life by organising social events, being a welcoming environment for new residents to the village and also a medium for young and old to meet together. Leonard Stanley has been twinned with Dozule since 1970; Dozule is a small village in Normandy approx. 10 miles from Caen. The association is built on the strong links built between English and French families over the years.
There are nearly 100 members of the association which is totally self‑supporting from subscriptions, donations and fundraising events.
The Twinning Association will be visiting Dozule in 2009, leaving on Saturday 23rd May and returning on Wednesday 27th May. This coincides with the school half term break.

to visit each
other and stay in each other's homes and has enabled lasting friendships to form between English and French families. If you would
